Globe Hosts National Digital Learning Conference to Highlight National Teachers Month and World Teachers Day

Another school year of online distance learning awaits learners and educators as the country continues to grapple with the lingering impact of the pandemic.

Since the sudden shift from traditional learning to distance learning last year, education sectors have continued to struggle to meet the demands of digital learning. While some are privileged to have a strong support system and technology, other students are still lacking, which seriously affects the quality of education students receive.

However, the passion and dedication of educators and institutions to provide the best learning solutions continues to burn.

To celebrate National Teachers ‘Month and World Teachers’ Day, Globe will be hosting “Forefront: The 2021 National Digital Learning Conference” on October 1, Friday, 8:00 am to noon. The event will be broadcast live on the Globe Business Facebook page (

Conference participants will be grouped together in sub-committee rooms to attend parallel sessions and listen to speakers from various academic disciplines.

Globe Education Segment Manager Mark Arthur Abalos mentioned that guest speakers will discuss topics ranging from integrating technology into the curriculum such as virtual labs, digital libraries, online tutoring, educational software, adaptation to new technologies, etc. Participants will also be honored by the presence of technology leaders from different learning management systems such as D2L Brightspace LMS, ClassIn, Google for Education and Microsoft.

Thus, Globe encourages administrators, educators, policy makers and teachers to participate in the conference, on the theme “Transformative Online Pedagogies: Reinventing Education for a Better Tomorrow”.
