Indiana School of Digital Learning is now part of Indiana Common Core, offering students 30 college credits for any state university, while still in high school

MODOC, Ind.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Indiana School of Digital Learning (INDLS), a full-time public school program for students across the state and an online program from the Union School Corporation, is partnering with Ivy Tech Community College to provide INDLS students with access to the program Indiana College Core (ICC).

Students can earn up to 30 credits that can be transferred to any Indiana bachelor’s degree-granting state institution of their choice. This block of 30 credit hours is equivalent to a full year of college courses.

As reported by the Indiana Commission on Higher Education (ICHE), ICC (formerly STGEC) was established in 2012 as SEA 182. It is a set of courses based on a set of skills in the areas of fundamental intellectual skills and pathways. to know.

At the career-learning school, students can combine a solid academic foundation with practical learning experiences in growing career fields such as agriculture, the arts, criminal justice, communications, business, education, health sciences, public safety and computing. Whether their path leads them directly to work, the military, or college, career learning provides students with the skills they need to get there.

“We all know college isn’t cheap. But now Indiana’s online students can earn enough college credit to get into college as a sophomore, saving them time and money as they head into the future” , said Elizabeth Sliger, director of the school at the INDLS.
