iPad User Community Events | Digital Learning Office

As part of the Digital Wolf Pack initiative, the Office of Digital Learning (ODL) hosts bi-weekly events for faculty iPad users to connect with each other and share experiences. At these user community events, a brief topic will be shared, followed by questions and discussion.

Events are held every other Thursday from 2-3 p.m. in the Knowledge Nook at the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center (MIKC) (221). Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Fall 2022

9/15/22: Improving productivity and workflow with iPad

This session will showcase a variety of apps and features built into the iPad to enhance classroom teaching, teacher onboarding, and improved device usability for teachers and students.

09/29/22: Creation of podcasts on iPad

The session discusses the creative tools, processes, and workflows for successful podcast creation using iPad as a production platform.

10/13/2022: Teaching with WebCampus on iPad

This session will provide an overview of the Canvas Teacher app, a discussion of using the app versus a browser to access WebCampus, and some iPad tips and tricks to make teaching easier.

10/27/22: Using Zoom for Virtual Office Hours

Using the iPad with other tools available to you at the University, such as Zoom, can allow you to create an engaging and impactful desktop experience. We’ll demo and walk you through how to use Zoom on your iPad during office hours.

10/11/2022: Using concept maps for deeper learning

Concept maps are graphical tools for organizing and representing knowledge. In this session, we will explore through hands-on activities how concept mapping can enhance student learning.
