Madhya Pradesh has been praised in higher education nationally as the state Department of Higher Education on Thursday received the “Award for Government Sector Initiative to Promote Digital Learning” at the 24th Summit World of Education in Hyderabad.
Higher Education Commissioner Deepak Singh received the award at a two-day international event on innovation in education.
According to a statement, Minister of Higher Education Mohan Yadav appreciated and congratulated the officers and employees of the department for this Madhya Pradesh achievement. He said, “The state received this award for its excellent work in the area of digital learning in the context of the national education policy. With this encouragement, the state will also be able to do a better job in the field of higher education in the future. “
During the event, Commissioner Deepak Singh said that Madhya Pradesh is the second state to implement the National Education Policy 2020. Along with the department’s implementation of the National Education Policy, work has been done to connect students to employment through activities such as vocational subjects, projects, internships, apprenticeships and community engagement for skills development.
The official statement further said while addressing the event, Singh added, “DG locker arrangement is available in all government universities in Madhya Pradesh. With this, students can find their grade sheet, diploma, duplicate marks sheet, migration certificate, etc., everywhere.”
He also mentioned that the department is doing innovation, digital initiatives – building an integrated portal, online admission, e-education, e-content creation, online training, virtual classrooms and teaching through Doordarshan.
