Rise Digital Media sees the success of the NextStop H2S platform

Rise Digital Media has reported success among coach operators for its NextStop mobility platform in home-school applications.

NextStop provides “a complete digital solution” for student registrations, e-ticketing, vehicle tracking, backup and overall management of these services, the provider says.

Rise Digital Media worked with members of the coach industry in the development of NextStop, which includes apps for the driver, operator staff, passengers and parents. Over 60 traders have signed up to the platform so far. Over 350,000 passenger accounts are hosted on NextStop and thousands of daily vehicle movements are supported.

In addition, NextStop provides the operator with the necessary tools to create, manage and oversee the operation of home-school services. This includes increased visibility of passenger loads per stop, punctuality, online ticket sales and driver performance.

The NextStop rollout “has been carefully planned over the past 12 months,” says Chris Nice, COO of Rise Digital Media. He adds that feedback from operators, schools, parents and passenger groups has been taken into account during this process.

“The platform has been further developed to keep pace with changing operational landscapes, travel habits and passenger behaviors, many of whom have arrived as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Go Goodwins uses Next Stop for journeys for his Manchester United FC supporters club, in addition to home-to-school journeys. Sales manager Matthew Turner said he was well accepted by the supporters’ club. Members found the app “awesome…because it allows them to view service information and purchase and download travel tickets in an instant.”

Elite Services also uses the platform, adds Katie Smith, home-to-school transport manager: “We are now at the forefront of our field with the cutting-edge technology provided by NextStop, and our customers benefit from the greatest control they have over their child transportation too. We are now able to spend our time developing our routes and customer base instead of doing calculations and manually gathering data to generate financial reports.”

Next Stop offers Bus Open Data Service integration as well as push notifications, parent alerts and QR ticketing, including bulk buying for schools, local authorities and businesses. Rise Digital Media will be providing demonstrations of Next Stop at Euro Bus Expo.

Euro Bus Expo will be held from November 1-3 at the NEC in Birmingham. Sign up for free tickets here. Rise Digital Media will be at the booth T32.
