Samsung has set up two smart classrooms at JNV Dhanbad
Each classroom has one 85-inch and one 55-inch Samsung Flip interactive digital whiteboard, 40 Samsung Galaxy tabs for students, printer, server PC, charging station for tablet and backup power
Samsung India inaugurated its flagship Samsung Smart School global citizenship program at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) School in Dhanbad, Benagoria, providing digital learning opportunities to students and helping to improve their learning abilities. Samsung is also training teachers at the school to improve their interactive teaching methods.
The Samsung Smart School program aims to nurture the young leaders of tomorrow by giving disadvantaged Indian students access to the benefits of digital education and its own transformative innovations as part of Samsung’s vision of “Together for Tomorrow!” ‘Empowering people’.
As part of the program, students at JNV Dhanbad will experience the latest digital learning infrastructure in the two smart classrooms that Samsung has installed in the school. With an extreme focus on digital pedagogies and learning, JNV Dhanbad is equipped with a digital library to provide better quality of the teaching-learning process.
In classrooms, an 85-inch Samsung Flip interactive digital board replaces the traditional blackboard, making it a more exciting and fun learning environment for students. Students can use the second Samsung Flip (55-inch) to participate in lectures, quizzes, class work and projects, and the 40 Samsung Galaxy Tabs in each class for self-study. In addition, the classrooms also have a printer, a server PC, a tablet charging station and a backup power supply.
At an event held with the students of JNV Dhanbad, the new Samsung Smart School was inaugurated by Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Dhanbad and MSK Upadhyaya, Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dhanbad.

This collaboration will surely help to improve the learning abilities of the students as well as the abilities of our teachers. The teacher training module is part of this program which will help them explain complex topics in an easy to understand visual format.,” said MSK Upadhyay, Director, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Dhanbad.

The Samsung Smart School program is announced in 10 JNV schools this year. Apart from JNV Dhanbad, schools have been established in Gwalior, Varanasi, Udaipur, Kangra, Sambalpur, Faridabad, Dehradun, Patna and Raipur. A number of these schools are located in remote rural districts around these towns.
The program will involve more than 5,000 students. Apart from this, about 260 teachers will receive training on digital teaching. Of these, about 465 students are at JNV Dhanbad.
Besides infrastructure support, Samsung Smart School will also enable digital learning for students in these schools through multiple touch points. This includes teacher training, providing meaningful and relevant educational content for all grades 6-12, in line with the CBSE curriculum, to enable teachers to use these classrooms more effectively and better. enhance student learning through an interactive and immersive learning process.
