OLC’s Digital Change Work History Framework is recognized in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) International Database
BOSTON, July 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The OLC report, “Advancing universal access to quality digital learning through global coalitions and storytelling practices”is now featured in the eminent United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) database for the 3rd UNESCO World Conference on Higher Education (WHEC2022).
Published as an open knowledge product to be widely and freely accessible, this handbook helps educators document their current progress while planning future initiatives. The OLC framework was designed in accordance with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goalsincluding quality education.

This includes digitally-mediated individual courses as well as those in online programs and institutional, system-wide and national-level digital strategies.
Advancing universal access to quality digital learning
In this two-part report, OLC shares a pair of case studies on digital learning change work in support of advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Beyond the application of the fourth goal (Quality education), the two sections of the report detail how the 17 goals have been leveraged, using digital and collaborative storytelling, rhetoric, metaphor and other practices to increase global understanding, empathy and impact. – situated communities of practice.
Part 1 – “Developing an international leadership institute on global coalition building and digital learning change work” deals with the conception, design and development of the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL) Globalan ecosystem with an international leadership academy that builds global partnerships to increase access to quality education worldwide.
Part 2 – “Creating a narrative framework to advance equity in digital learning” showcases OLC’s process to develop an interactive tool to capture and share the stories of digital learning leaders to address locally contextualized challenges related to online, blended, and digital learning. OLC has created a open frame that anyone can use, remix and redistribute on digital storytelling change work.
